For the second year in a row, the Asia PE-VC Summit will be held in Singapore. The event is an unprecedented global meeting place for top investors to discover companies in Asia’s fast growing economies.  Set to take place September 21-22 at the Marina Bay Sands — the event will be hosted by leading Asia-Pacific private equity news platform DealStreetAsia.

The Asia PE-VC Summit is the largest sector-agnostic PE VC conference in Asia — bringing together the biggest LPs, GPs and CEOs of PE & VC backed companies for an exclusive exchange of ideas and networking opportunity. In total, more than 600 attendees are expected.

Asia-Pacific Region holds much opportunity for private equity

The Asia-Pacific region holds much opportunity for private equity funds according to a recent report by Bain. By 2025, Asia-Pacific will be home to 4 million people — four times as many people than in North America and Europe combined.  The region is also becoming older, wealthier and technically more sophisticated — while at the same time producing more domestic consumption and an increase in exports in higher-value goods.

They noted how digital transformation of the economy is creating sweeping changes in Asia’s B2B industries — which have led to large investment in a variety of sectors and geographies.  Bain detailed how “Investors across the region piled a record $36 billion into 371 Internet-related deals in 2015 and another $15 billion into 141 technology companies.”
