Advocate Zia Habib Ahasan is the Secretary General of Bangladesh Human Rights Foundation, one of the top human rights organizations in Bangladesh, as well as an Advocate in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He also acts as legal advisor for a number of national, multinational corporations and banks in Bangladesh. He is also a writer, social worker, columnist, and advocates for good governance in Bangladesh. His articles mostly focus on the intersection of law and human rights. He authored a number of books on law and rights.He served as the project's Chittagong coordinator for the Manusher Jonno Foundation-funded SGGHR (Strengthening Good Governance through Human Rights) initiative. He coordinated the Manusher Jonno Foundation-funded SGGHR (Strengthening Good Governance through Human Rights) initiative in Chittagong.He attended a training program on "Human Rights and the U.S. Judicial System" in 2008 at the invitation of the US government in the United States of America. In 2006, he participated in a Cross Learning Sharing Visit Program in Nepal. On the invitation of the Singapore Police, he also went to the Police headquarters that year. He attended the Social Business Seminar that was held in Germany as a representative of Bangladesh.
