Chandhiok and Mahajan has promoted Lagna Panda, Avinash Amarnath and Lovejeet Singh to partnership, effective 1 April 2022.

Lagna Panda is a 2012 alumnus of National Law University, Jodhpur. Her practice focuses on competition law, data privacy, and cyber security. Her experience includes successfully representing Intel in the Competition Commission of India’s four-year investigation into allegations of abuse of dominance. Lagna joined C&M in 2018 and is based out of the firm’s New Delhi office.

Avinash Amarnath graduated from Symbiosis Law College, Pune in 2011 followed by an LL.M. from King’s College, London. Avinash is part of competition law and disputes practice at C&M. He has over a decade of experience in handling complex cartel and abuse of dominance investigations and has represented clients in several merger control matters requiring complex remedies. In addition to his competition law practice, Avinash regularly appears in contentious matters before various courts and arbitral tribunals. Avinash is based out of the firm’s Bengaluru office and will be relocating to the establish the firm’s Hyderabad office.

Lovejeet Singh’s practice focuses on corporate, M&A, and aviation. He is a 2008 graduate from Panjab University and holds a Master’s degree in commercial law from Cardiff University. He acts for leading corporations and funds on their mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and general corporate matters. Lovejeet also advises airlines and lessors on leasing and purchase of commercial and business aviation aircrafts.

With the addition to these newly elected partners, the total partnership of the firm has grown to nine partners. Earlier this year, Kotak Mahindra’s former general counsel, Bhargesh Ojha, joined the firm in Mumbai. Bhargesh is part of the firm’s executive committee.
