GRM was born in Hong Kong in January 2009, when Rob Green, GRM’s CEO, moved to Hong Kong from the Cayman Islands, with no prior knowledge of the city or the Asian legal market. In the middle of the global financial crisis, GRM was born. The aim was to offer the very best service to senior legal professionals who expect the best service and a tangible experience.
Over the past 11 years, GRM has become the leader in global cross-border legal talent sourcing and business intelligence and they deliver real insight from on the ground experience and an evidence-based, data-informed recruitment approach. They’ve grown, shrunk, grown again, stayed nimble and humble and adapted to the ever-changing economic climate and approach to working.

Rob covers operational and strategic oversight of GRM and global partner and team moves in the legal sector. He has been in the staffing industry since 2003, working and living in London, Cayman, Hong Kong, and South Africa.
Rob has placed over 1,000 professionals in 23 countries and assisted moving many companies into new markets, from feasibility studies to staff attraction.
A graduate of the University of Greenwich, London (2000), Rob is a regular contributor to industry magazines and a speaker at trade shows. His counsel on staffing solutions and career moves is sought after globally.
Rayne Handley, Head of Research & Analytics
Rayne covers Research & Analytics and is the holder of M.Comm (cum Laude), BComm Honours (Cum Laude), BComm (Cum Laude). She has extensive quantitative and qualitative research experience both in the academic and professional arenas.
She has been published in international peer-reviewed journals, presented research at conferences, symposiums, and colloquiums, and regularly contributes to industry publications.
Rayne has lectured for four years running on qualitative data analysis to post-graduate students at Rhodes University, South Africa, sharing her passion for and skill in research. Rayne’s executive search and recruitment experience in Africa and Asia, coupled with leading research capabilities place her in great stead to pioneer consulting work within the human capital space.
Nasreen Chohan, Recruitment Partner – Legal
Nasreen covers Legal Recruitment and Headhunting across Africa. She holds an LLB degree and is an Admitted Attorney with over 4 years experience in practice.
Nasreen practiced at a boutique law firm and gained corporate experience at Lexis Nexis prior to joining GRM. In her own words “I focus on the placement and headhunting of Legal Professionals across the world. I take great pleasure and pride in finding the right environment for thriving legal professionals to excel and be happy.”
